What You’ll Need to Make Them

  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 cup almond butter (or any other nut or seed butter)
  • 1/2 cup flaxseed, ground
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup raisins, dried tart cherries, or walnuts, chopped (optional)

  • Oats: you can use rolled oats or quick cooking oats. Oats are a whole grain, high in fiber to help get you full.
  • Almond butter (or any other nut or seed butter): you can use whatever nut or seed butter you prefer. Almond butter is just made from ground almonds which is rich in a trio of nutrients, monounsaturated healthy fats, dietary fiber and protein.
