Roxana Ehsani, MS, RD, CSSD, LDN, is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in the state of Nevada and a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. Roxana serves as a National Media Spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Roxana works with the media to translate nutrition science into practical advice consumers can understand. Roxana received her Bachelors of Science from Virginia Tech with a degree in Human Nutrition, Food and Exercise with a concentration in Dietetics. She went on to receive her Masters of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics and completed her Dietetic Internship at the University of Pittsburgh and University of Pittsburgh’s Medical Centers.
Roxana was one of the first supermarket dietitians in Washington D.C. for Giant Food where she worked for almost 5 years. She provided individual consultations, community presentations, grocery store tours and served as their company spokesperson. She appeared regularly on local media channels in both Baltimore and Washington D.C. and was recognized in The Washingtonian Magazine’s Best of Washington edition in 2017. She has extensive experience working with professional, college and student athletes. Roxana was the Sports Performance Dietitian for the Georgetown University’s division I athletic department for over 5 years. She also worked as a consulting Sports Performance Dietitian for Fuel Your Passion LLC and IMG Academy, providing performance fueling strategies to multi-sport athletes.
Roxana has been a life-long athlete, she ran and competed in triathlons on collegiate level. Roxana is half Persian, half Austrian and is proud to have grown up in a multilingual and multicultural family. She speaks fluent German and conversational Spanish. In her spare time, Roxana can be found in the kitchen either baking or cooking, or out running. She also loves to travel! In the past few years she has traveled to Thailand, Morocco, France, Netherlands, French Polynesia, Cuba, Mexico, Austria, Germany and Italy.
